Dr. Somi Khani is the Learning and Development Lead at Southern Cross Care Queensland, overseeing capability development for more than 1,700 staff across residential aged care, home care and retirement living. She is responsible for organisational education strategy, compliance alignment with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, and the design of induction, mandatory training and workforce competency frameworks. Her work spans leadership capability programs, high-performing team development, psychometric-based coaching, and workforce pathways for nurses and international workers. Somi brings a practical, evidence-based approach to building a safe, skilled and person-centred workforce.
