Josh McFarlane was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Catholic Healthcare in October 2023 and proudly leads an organisation that supports 41 residential aged care homes, serves 6,000 home and community clients, and operates 13 retirement living villages. Catholic Healthcare cares for approximately 11,000 clients across New South Wales and South-East Queensland, supported by the dedication of 5,500 employees and 800 volunteers. Driven by a strong commitment to innovation and making a meaningful difference, Josh is working to create a world where older people can truly thrive, with a particular focus on tackling key challenges such as loneliness and social justice. 

He is a passionate advocate for innovation to ensure the aged care system delivers compassion, dignity and joy for older people, care workers and the broader community. Josh brings decades of leadership experience into aged care, with a background spanning strategy, mergers and acquisitions, operations and transformation across some of Australia’s largest aged care providers, as well as experience in mining, manufacturing, finance and management consulting, including roles within several ASX-listed organisations.
