Garrie O'Toole is the National Consultancy Lead at the Centre for Dementia Learning, Dementia Australia. Over a twenty year career as a Registered Nurse, he has worked in acute, residential, and community care, and has taught healthcare workers across the university, VET and industry sectors. Currently, Garrie partners with aged care providers to implement sustainable, evidence-based practices, leading to the development of unique dementia models of care. He is passionate about equipping staff with the tools they need to support people living with cognitive impairment live full and meaningful lives.
